Bagerhat,
Apr 22 (UNB) – Seven people were killed and two others injured
critically when a tempo collided with a bus in Fakirhat thana on
Bagerhat-Khulna highway this (Saturday) morning.
Four
of the dead was identified as Ekram Mawlana (55), Abul Hossain (20),
Wajed Ali (45) and Boni Yamin (12). Identity of three could not be
known immediately.
Police
and witnesses said the accident occurred near the Nawapara College at
8 am leaving six tempo passengers dead on the spot and three injured.
Of
the injured, one unidentified youth aged about 28, died on way to
hospital. Condition of two others was stated to be critical.
The
bus driver, however, managed to escape from the scene. A case was
lodged with the police.
