Bagergat,
Apr 23 (UNB)- A total of 392 examinees of the district will not be
able to sit for HSC examinations beginning Thursday across the country
due to negligence of college authorities.
Only
three days to go before commencement of the examinations, these
students didn’t yet get admit cards, the candidates complained.
College
authorities, however, acknowledged that admit cards of 232 students
were withheld by the board for faulty filling of registration forms
and subject-code cards.
“The
other 160 students still don’t know why they are not getting admit
cards,” said one college principal.
The
aggrieved examinees held the college authorities responsible for the
faults while the teachers blaming the students for the irregularities.
The
principals of Chitalmari Degree College and Bangabandhu Women College
told UNB that they were trying to collect admit cards for 385 students
of the two colleges from the Jessore Education Board.
