May 20 (UNB) – Police Saturday afternoon arrested Sundarban’s
notorious `Mujib Bahini’ chief, Mujibur Rahman, from Demar Kalia in
the town along with arm and ammunition.
Police
raided the house, nabbed Mujib (30) and recovered a foreign-made gun
and 14 live bullets.
His
terrorist group was involved in kidnapping fishermen from the
Sundarbans, extorting ransom and committing robbery. He was wanted for
a number of cases, including murder and extortion.
