June 6 (UNB) – A pot full of ancient silver coins was recovered from
village Baraipara in Rampal upazila on Monday.
Villagers
said a group of day-labourers found the pot containing 313-year-old
coins while they were cutting a rural road in the morning. The English
calendar year that the coins bear is 1777.
When
asked police could not confirm the incident.
