Bagerhat,
July 2 (UNB) – Some 172 unnatural deaths, including 29 murders, were
reported in nine southern districts last month.
District-wise
break of the murders: Satkhira-6, Jessore-5, Bagerhat-3, Meherpur-4,
Jhenidah-2, Kushtia-3, Magura-2, Chuadanga-2 and Khulna-2.
Police
said 12 women and girls fell prey to rapists in the region apart from
65 robberies and 800 thefts during the period.
