July 5 (UNB) - A court here today (Wednesday) found two men guilty of
killing a minor boy and condemned them to death.
District
and Sessions Judge AKM Ishtiaque Hossain convicted Mobarak and Shaheed
of village Durgasram in Sadar thana and handed down the judgment.
The
court under another section sentenced the convicts to four years
rigorous imprisonment and fined them Tk 3,000 each, in default, to
suffer one year more in jail.
According
to prosecution, the convicts kidnapped Rehan, 3, son of Abdul Gani of
village Bangla on Sept 18,1993 and killed him as his father refused to
pay them ransom.
