Sept 17 (UNB) – Price of hilsha fish came down abruptly here on
Thursday as fishermen caught huge quantity of the fish during the last
2-3 days in the sea.
First
ever reduction of the price was noticed this season with the arrival
of 40 trawlers loaded with hilsha here on the day. Per kg hilsha was
sold at Tk 50/60, said sources.
Many
enthusiastic customers were seen buying the tasty fish following the
reduction of its price.
Sources
said hilsha was sold at Tk 150/160 per kg at the advent of season due
to its acute scarcity.
