Bogra,
July 2 (UNB) – Water Development Board will construct two flood
protection ‘groin embankments’ in Dhunat upazila, costing Tk 10
crore.
Officials
said the embankments would be constructed at Saharabari in Bhandarbari
union and Baliajan in Gosaibari union.
The
project, already approved by the authorities concerned, is likely to
be implemented with foreign assistance.
Meanwhile,
a vast tract of cropland in Bhandarbari union went into the gorge of
the mighty Jamuna although the embankment on its bank was
reconstructed on number of occasions.
