July 8 (UNB) – A man was sentenced to seven years rigorous
imprisonment by a court here for killing his mother.
The
court also fined Abdur Rashid of village Bera in Dupchachia upazila
with Tk 5,000, in default, to suffer six months more RI.
The
brief case history is that Abdur Rashid hit his mother Khodeza (40)
with a sharp weapon causing her instantaneous death following a family
feud in 1996.
After
examining the witnesses and evidences the Additional District and
Sessions Judge delivered the judgement on Thursday.
