Apr 12 (UNB) – In response to a request from businesspeople,
All-Party Action Committee here has decided not to observe
dawn-to-dusk hartal tomorrow (Thursday) in the district.
The
decision came from a meeting of the Action Committee Tuesday night.
Local
businessmen requested the opposition leaders to withdraw the hartal
program in the district as the day coincided with the last day of the
Bengali month of Chaitra, which is important for them to clear their
ledgers.
Chaired
by committee joint convener Adv Mahbubul Haq Patwari, the meeting was
attended, among others, by another joint convenor Mohammad Khan Delwar
Hossain and member secretary Moulana Abdur Rahim.
