Chapainawabganj,
Nov 13 (UNB) – A 15-day training program on pest control management
concluded at Baliadanga union in Sadar upazila recently.
The
main objective of the training was to make the farmers aware on the
natural techniques relating to pest control and increase production.
About
450 local farmers were present at the concluding session presided over
by Deputy Director of Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) Altaf
Hossain.
Another
report from Rangpur adds: A congress of Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
2000 was held at Laldighi High School ground in Pirganj upazila on
Wednesday.
Financed
by FAO and UNDP, the congress was attended by local MP Noor Mohammad
Mondal as chief guest.
