Chapainawabganj, Feb 3 (UNB) – The amount of outstanding electricity bills of Power Development Board in the district stood at Tk 3.81 crore.
PDB sources said there are 13,885 consumers of PDB and power lines of 692 consumers have been disconnected to realize the outstanding bills.
Of the total outstanding bill, Tk 1.04 crore remained unpaid with 10,873 residential consumers, Tk 10.05 lakh with 289 non-residential consumers, Tk 30.54 lakh by 2,238 commercial consumers, Tk 1.96 lakh by 404 small and cottage industries, Tk 54.35 lakh by government industries and Tk 59.85 lakh by pourasava.
Besides, Tk 24.34 lakh remained unpaid by 18 different consumers while Tk 61.55 lakh by 692 line-disconnected consumers.
