Chapainawabganj,
(UNB) – A court here found a man guilty of cheating and sentenced
him to three years rigorous imprisonment.
The
court also fined Shajahan Ali of Shibtola in Nababganj Tk 2,000, in
default, to suffer three months more in jail.
According
to prosecution, Shajahan took Tk 80,000 from one Asgar Ali on April
15, 1994 promising to send him to Malaysia, but he pocketed the money
instead of sending Asgar abroad.
After
examining records and witnesses, the Judge punished the accused.
