Chittagong,
Nov 16 (UNB) – A court here Tuesday sentenced seven people to
various jail terms in separate cases.
Of
the convicts, Shahabuddin was sentenced to seven years imprisonment
and fined Tk 5000, in default, to suffer one year more in jail.
The
case history in brief: Shahabuddin attacked a minor boy, Rabiul
Hossain, at city’s Jamtala on Apr 12, 1999, leaving him critically
injured.
The
other convicts were identified as Muhammad Ishaque, Alauddin, Jasim,
Nuruddin, Selim, and Nasima Akhter of Sholoshahar in Panchlaish thana.
They
were convicted in three other cases.
