Comilla, Feb 9 (UNB) – A magistrate court at Chouddogram today granted five-day police remand to Hafez Majharul Islam, arrested in connection with the subversive acts that caused Wednesday’s train accident killing three people.
Laksam GRP thana police today produced the accused Majharul Islam before the magistrate court seeking seven-day remand for interrogation. But the court granted five-day remand. He will be produced again before the court on February 26.
Meanwhile, two victims of the train accident were identified by their relatives. They are: Nurul Islam, 35, son of Abdul Ahad of Durgapur village and Jalaluddin, 30, son of Kafan Ali of Chhoyboi village in Madhavpur upazila of Habiganj district.
After post-mortem, the bodies were handed over to their relatives.
