Comilla,
Apr 18 (UNB) – Two
people, including a policeman, were arrested from Noorpur area Sunday
on charge of sugar smuggling.
Witnesses
said local people chased a group of smugglers when they entered into
the town with 60 bags of smuggled sugar and caught two of them --
constable Akhlaque and Almas. They were later handed over to police.
Meanwhile,
the police constable has been suspended.
A
GD was filed with Laksam Railway police in this connection.
