Cox’s
Bazar, Aug 12 (UNB) - A total of 1,310 families have so far been
rehabilitated in the district till July this year under ashrayan
project.
Some
Tk 42.43 lakh has also been distributed among 617 people as micro
credits for socioeconomic development of the rehabilitated people,
official sources said.
As
part of the programme, 131 barrack-type houses were constructed under
35 projects in seven upazilas of the district. Work on construction of
another 51 barrack-type houses is underway.
The
government also constructed a total of 12 community centres in the
district involving Tk 30 lakh to improve standard of living of the
people rehabilitated under ashrayan projects.
