          Apr 10 (UNB) – A young man was gunned down following the killing of
          Sujan last week, in a flat at Nurjahan road in the city’s
          Mohammadpur area on Sunday midnight.
          
           
           
          
           
          Police
          sources said the body was identified as Mahmudul Hasan Palash (25),
          resident of Malibagh and son of a retired army officer. 
          
          
           
           
          
           
          His
          body, lying in a pool of blood on the stairs of second floor of D/11
          Housing Estate building, had marks of 16 bullet wounds.
          
           
           
          
           
          The
          victim’s family sources said that Palash returned from London about
          3 months ago after two years. Police recovered the body in the morning
          and sent it to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. 
          
           
           
          
           
          Police
          suspect the body was left there after killing him somewhere else as
          none of the flat dwellers heard any gunshot during the night.
          
           
           
          
           
          Police
          and family sources said that Sujon, a former BCL leader of Dhaka
          College was killed by unidentified gunmen. This may 
          have link with killing of Palash who was an witness to Sujan
          killing.
          
           
           
          
           
          A
          family source said that one Munna and Imon picked up palash from the
          Hatirpool area after which he did not return home.
          
           
           
          
           
          Victim’s
          family sources said Palash was the father of a one-year old baby. 
          
           
           
          
           
          A
          case was filed with Mohammadpur thana in this connection. None was
          arrested till filing the report.
