          Dhaka,
          Apr 27 (UNB) – The 38th death anniversary of Sher-e-Bangla
          AK Fazlul Huq, the great leader of undivided Bengal, was observed
          today with due respect. 
           
          
          
           
          To
          mark the day, different political and socio-cultural organisations
          arranged discussion meetings, Qurankhwani, milad mahfil and destitute
          feeding across the country. 
             
          In
          Dhaka, leaders and workers of different organisations placed wreaths
          and offered fateha at the mazar of Sher-e-Bangla. 
           
          
          
           
          Different
          organisations, including Awami League, Jatiya Party (M-M), NAP (Bhasani),
          Sher-e-Bangla Jatiya Council, Sher-e-Bangla Smriti Academy, Sher-e-Bangla
          Kalyan Samity, Barisal Zilla Samity, Barisal Bibhag Samity, Pirojpur
          Zilla Samity, Barisal Divisional Lawyers Association, Fazlul Huq Hall
          of Dhaka University observed the day with holding various programmes. 
           
          
          
           
          Local
          Government Minister Zillur Rahman, Food Minister Amir Hossain Amu,
          Agriculture Minister Matia Chowdhury, Environment Minister Syeda
          Sajeda Chowdhury, Communications Minister Anwar Hossain, State
          Minister for Jute AK Faizul Huq, former Minister Sheikh Shahidul
          Islam, Awami League leaders Akhtarul Alam, Muzaffar Hossain Paltu,
          Abdul Mannan, Nurul Fazal Bulbul, Habibur Rahman Khan, Krishak Sramik
          Party leader Azizul Huq Shahjahan and others placed wreaths at the
          mazar of Sher-e-Bangla. 
           
          
          
           
          They
          also attended a milal mahfil and Qurankhwani on the mazar premises. A
          special prayer was offered there seeking divine blessings for the
          eternal peace of the departed soul. 
           
          
           
          Later,
          cooked food was distributed among the poor.
