          Faridpur,
          Oct 30 (UNB) – A workshop to create awareness about post-literacy
          and ongoing mass education project was held at Madhukhali upazila
          parishad auditorium on Thursday. 
           
          
           
          Organized
          by the Non-formal Education Directorate, the aim of the workshop was
          to assist 16.56 lakh newly literate male and female for creating
          self-employment. 
           
          
           
          The
          ambitious self-employment project will be started in 2001 and will
          continue for next five years. 
           
          
           
          Kazi
          Sirajul Islam MP and Member of Parliamentary Standing Committee on
          Education attended the function as a chief guest. 
           
          
           
          Chaired
          by DC Ashfaq Hamid and president of `Alor Pathey Faridpur’ a
          programme under Total Literacy Movement (TLM), the function was also
          addressed by Nuruzzaman Khan, Director of Informal Education, Prof
          Alful Hye Shibly, Dean of National University Abdur Rouf Chowdhury and
          Mohammad Alauddin, the out going new ADCs (literacy and Development),
          Ashok Kumar Biswas, UNO. 
           
          
           
          Forty
          selected people from People’s representatives, opinion leaders,
          professionals, government officials and newly literate male and female
