Faridpur,
May 18 (UNB)- Five young men allegedly robbed a truck driver were
arrested from near Bismillah Shah Dargah, 5 km off the town, on
Faridpur-Barisal road this (Thursday) morning.
On
information the police rushed with the truck driver to the spot, who
was robbed of his cash and valuables at 4 am while passing by the
place. Sensing the trouble, the robbers jumped in the river Kumar.
They were, however, arrested with the help of local people.
The
robbers identified as Sobhan Mia, Farid Sawdagar, Kabir Mallik, Mausud
Hossain and Sukur Mridha Bappi have confessed to police of their
engagement in highway dacoity.
