Apr 13 (UNB) – Most vehicles plying on various roads and highways of
the district have no fitness certificate, giving a rise to traffic
mishap and causing damage to the environment.
A
survey showed that at least 5000 buses, 6000 trucks and lorries and
4,000 auto rickshaws and
10,000 motorcycles ply on 50 routes of the district everyday and most
of them have no fitness certificate.
Transport
owners change the bodies of their obsolete vehicles several times in
blind pursuit of making money.
