Habiganj,
Nov 14 (UNB) – A 10-megawatt power plant will be set up at
Shayestaganj to resolve the persisting power crisis in tea gardens of
the Habiganj and Moulvibazar districts.
The
new power plant will be installed with financial assistance from Palli
Bidyut Samity.
Officials
said production in tea gardens of the two districts is being hampered
due to severe power crisis.
PDB
can only supply 12-13 mw power to the two districts against the demand
for 25/26 mw during the peak hours.
The
Palli Bidyut Samity will distribute power from the plant through its
seven substations.
