Habiganj,
Apr 27 (UNB)- A district court has convicted a young man and sentenced
him to ten years rigorous imprisonment for killing his brother.
Aklu
Bhumiz (25), a tea garden worker of Chunarughat
was also finned Tk 1,000, in default to suffer one month’s
RI.
According
to prosecution, following a quarrel Aklu beat mercilessly his elder
brother Sharat Bhumiz (38) leading to his death on October 31,1999.
Dupraj
Zori, a local UP member, filed a case with the police, who submitted
charge sheet against the convict after investigation.
The
District and Sessions Judge Abdur Rashid Mia, after examining records
and witnesses, awarded the punishment on Monday.
