          Jamalpur,
          Apr 12 (UNB) – The Water Development Board has taken up a project of
          constructing a 0.426km town protection embankment along the river
          Brahmhaputra at Pathalia in Jamalpur municipal area for which 200
          metric tons of wheat have been allocated. 
           
          
           
          Work
          on the project started on April 6 with a ceremonial function presided
          over by pourasava chairman Mirza Shakhawatul Moni. Senior district
          officials and engineers were present at the function. 
           
          
           
          Two
          committees have been formed to oversee proper implementation of the
          project which is scheduled to be completed by next month.
