Jessore, Mar 28 (UNB) – Police started combing operation in 10 districts of country’s southwestern region from March 22 following the arms looting incident in Satkhira.
The law enforcers began their drive to nab the terrorists in the crime prone Jessore, Khulna, Bagerhat, Narail, Magura, Jhenidah, Chuadanga, Kushtia, Meherpur and Satkhira districts.
A high police official said Police Supers of the 10 districts have been asked to start the combing operation in their respective areas.
Sources said arrest of the criminals and arms recovery is very much needed before the coming Parliament polls adding that if the law and order situation is not improved, the miscreants may jeopardize the election.
