(UNB) - A two-member electoral inquiry committee has been
formed to probe into pre-election irregularities and violation of
electoral code of conduct in parliamentary by-election to Jhalakati-2
scheduled for July 31.
The
committee is comprised of District Sub-Judge Shamsul Haque and Senior
Assistant Judge Abdur Rab Hawlader.
Any
political party or aggrieved candidate may lodge complain to the
inquiry committee against violation of code of conduct, said a press
release today.
The
committee is to report with recommendations to the Election Commission
(EC) to take necessary measures.
