May 24 (UNB)- “Bangalee Krishak Sramik Kalyan Parishad ” Tuesday
demanded to include the internal Bangalee refugees in the refugee list
in light with the announcement of the Prime Minster.
The
Parishad, a cluster village based organization, announced their
seven-point demand including updating the refugee list at a press
briefing at the local press club.
Abdul
Awal, general secretary of the organization, in his written statement
alleged that majority Bangalees were excluded from the internal
refugee list through various conspiracies due to strong opposition
from Parbatya Chattagram Jano Sanghati Samity.
He
said most of the Bangalees were excluded due to the negligence of the
headmen and their refusal to recommend the Bangalees.
He
demanded that like 60,000 repatriate refugees from India and 90,000
internal tribal refugees some 1.5-lakh Bangalee families should be
included in the refugee list and rehabilitated properly.
