          Khagrachhari,
          May 28 (UNB) – Works on 86 development projects, involving Tk 3.1
          crore, in the district are likely to be completed soon. 
           
          
           
          District
          Council is implementing the projects from its won funds, official
          sources said. 
           
          
           
          The
          project works include construction and reconstruction of rural roads
          and culverts, primary schools and madrasas, mosques and temples, and
          excavation and re-excavation of canals. 
           
          
           
          Of
          the schemes, 47 have already been completed at a cost of Tk 1.52 crore
          while works on the remaining ones are expected to begin towards the
          end of this month. 
           
          
           
          Another
          report adds: Public Heath Engineering Department will install 155
          tubewells in three hill districts to ensure pure water supply to the
          rural people. 
           
          
           
          Of
          the tubewells, 55 will be sunk in Khagrachhari, 50 in Rangamati and 50
          in Bandarban districts, ensuring safe water supply to 1,450 families.
