June 8 (UNB) – The special judge of a tribunal here on Sunday
sentenced a man to six years’ imprisonment for smuggling ganja.
The
court also fined the convict Phool Miah of Soulomari village in
Roumari upazila with Tk 6,000, in default, to suffer one year RI more.
Police
arrested Phool Miah along with 6 kilograms of ganja on October 8,
1997. The court found him guilty after examining reports and
witnesses.
