May 20 (UNB) - Local people caught an Indian citizen for allegedly
trafficking a baby from Kazirtek area in sadar upazila on Friday.
Police
said Soma Rani Shil, 25, was nabbed while fleeing to India Thursday
night along with a baby, Sharnali 5, daughter of businessman Barun
Mandal.
Mandal
had earlier given shelter to Soma, wife of Biplob Shil of Hugli
district in West Bengal, at his Puran Bazar residence in the town.
Another
report says: a bus helper Rezaul Karim of Bagerpar area in the town
allegedly committed suicide hanging himself from the roof on Thursday.
