Madaripur,
July 1 (UNB) - Two people were killed and five others injured in
separate clashes in two upazilas of the district last week.
Police
said a clash between two rival groups of villagers at Kathalbari in
Shibchar upazila left one person killed and five injured on June 23.
The
clash between the rival villagers ensued over previous enmity. The
dead was identified as Kalam Molla (43). The body was sent to Sadar
Hospital morgue for autopsy.
Besides
a youth identified as Khokan Sarder (20) of Sonmondi village in
Kalkini upazila was beaten to death by his rivals on June 22.
Separate
cases were filed with local police.
