Munshiganj,
May 29 (UNB) – Two women were strangulated to death in separate
incidents in Sadar thana on Sunday.
Police
said Binu Begum, 28, was beaten and strangulated to death allegedly by
her in-laws family members, including the husband, at Adariatola.
Her
husband Swapan Mia surrendered to the police after the killing.
In
another incident, bandits entered the house of Jobeda Begum, 60, at
Uttarkewar village and strangulated her to death before looting
valuables worth about Tk 50,000 from her house.
The
old lady was alone when the dacoits stormed the house.
Another
adds: A boatman, Chand Mia, 34, was missing after his rice-laden
dinghy capsized near Louhajang ferryghat on Sunday.
The
boat sank as it was caught by a storm.
