Narayanganj,
May 26 (UNB) – At least 30 people were injured as a violent storm
lashed the district Friday leaving a trail of devastation.
Of
the injured, Shamsul Huq, Shaheen, Nafijal, Rabbi and Mahfuza were
hospitalized with severe injuries.
Over
1,000 dwelling houses of 100 villages were damaged while a large
number of trees uprooted during the five-minute storms.
District
Fine Arts Institute collapsed and the tin-shed roof of National Club
was blown away by the twister.
Power
supply in most areas in the town snapped as two electric towers and
some poles collapsed.
