Narayanganj,
June 4 (UNB) – At least 25 people were injured in a fire caused by
an explosion at a garment factory in Nayamati area Saturday.
Fire
Brigade sources said the fire broke out at about 5pm when a drum full
of chemical exploded at Halima Traders, burning down two hosiery
factories, three houses and two rickshaws.
Three
of the injured were admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital in
critical condition.
On
Information, firefighters from Mondolpara and Hajiganj rushed to the
spot and put out the flame after one hour of frantic efforts.
