July 10 (UNB) – Police arrested a man from Dhaka on Sunday for his
alleged involvement in killing a fruit trader.
The
deceased was identified as Sanaullah (32), son of Idris Ali of
Malivita village in Bandar upazila.
Police
said Sanaullah and his brother Amanullah used to sell fruits at
Mohammadpur agriculture market in Dhaka. Following previous enmity
their neighbour Nuruzzaman sent a message to Sanaullah that his father
fell seriously ill.
On
his way home Nuruzzaman forcibly drowned him to a pond near the Biswa
Road on Friday.
Acting
on a tip-off, police recovered the body and arrested Nuruzzaman. A
case was filed.
