Nov 16 (UNB) - Local newsmen today submitted a memorandum to the
Deputy Commissioner demanding immediate removal of acting Police Super
Shafiul Islam for his alleged misconduct with them.
They
alleged that the acting SP hurled abuses at them when a 12-member
delegation of local press club, led by its president Mustafa Kamal
Sarker and general secretary MA Awal, went to meet him at his office
Monday.
The
journalists also brought out a procession in the town today to press
their demand.
