          Natore,
          June 24 (UNB) – Mango traders of the region are doing good business
          this year even the price of the delicious fruit is high in the local
          markets.
          
           
           
          
           
          Market
          sources said a good number of varieties of mangoes, including
          Gopalbhog, Khirshapat, Mohonbhog, Langra, Kalua and Himsagor have
          flooded the markets but the prices are higher than that of the
          previous year.
          
           
           
          
           
          In
          consideration of size and quality per kg quality mangoes is being sold
          between Tk 30 and 50 while Guthi mangoes at Tk 15-20.
          
           
           
          
           
          Ariful
          Islam (70), a mango trader of Natore wholesale mango market, said
          since the production of mango this year is likely to cross all the
          previous “off year” records, the growers and traders of the region
          expect to have a very good business this year for better price.
          
           
           
          
           
          Every
          day, on an average, 100 baskets of mango weighing about 2000 maunds
          are being transported to the other parts of the country, including
          Dhaka from the wholesales markets of the district.
          
           
           
          
           
          Another
          mango trader Saiful Islam said there is a good demand despite the high
          price and the consumers are found eager to buy mango.
