A man awarded death penalty for murder |

May 11, 2000 Netrokona, May 10 (UNB)- A man was awarded death penalty for murdering a college student, court sources here said today. According to the prosecution, in brief, Saiful Alam of Chandrapara village in Barahatta upazila murdered a college student Manik at Mohonganj Railway Station on April 14, 1999 following a previous enmity. A case was filed and police after investigation submitted charge sheet against him. After examining the witnesses and records District and Sessions Judge AKM Ishtiaq Hossain pronounced the capital punishment on May 3.
