Netrakona, May 2 (UNB) – Local markets have been swamped with diluted diesel and petrol as the concerned authorities have failed to come up with effective steps to crack down on the dishonest traders.
A section of unscrupulous fuel traders are selling petrol by mixing kerosene with it, which is largely blamed for causing damage to vehicles.
According to competent sources, a good number of petrol shops have been set up alongside roads at different points in the town which have no license.
While talking to the UNB correspondent, many vehicle owners said they had brought the matter to the notice of the authorities concerned, but their request for action against the dishonest traders went unheeded.
