Netrokona, July 2 (UNB) – An outbreak of venereal diseases (VDs) affected over 1,000 people in 10 upazilas of the district.
The diseases are Gonorrhea, Congenital Syphilis, Gonocecal conjunctivitis, Syphilis arthritis and Netro Syphilis.
Another report adds: An acute scarcity of anti-rabies vaccine (ARV) has been prevailing in the district.
Sources said the ARVs, which are occasionally being supplied by the authorities, are either damaged or ineffective caused by improper preservation.
The demand for ARVs has risen in the district with the rise of pye dogs. |
