Noakhali,
July 4 (UNB) – Armed pirates looted valuables from five trawlers in
river Meghna under Sadar upazila on Saturday.
The
looted valuables include fish and fishing nets
worth about Tk 10 lakh.
Another
report adds: Dacoits looted cash and valuables worth about Tk 5 lakh
from the houses of Rafiq, Shajahan and Samad Miah at Mouzananda and
Charruhita villages in Sadar upazila of Laxmipur district on Saturday.
Villagers
said the armed robbers, numbering about 20, broke into the houses and
looted the valuables, leaving 10 people injured.
Four
of the injured -- Rahim, Shafiq, Mannan and Monaf -- were admitted to
a local hospital.
