May 19 (UNB) - Some 270 distressed women of six unions in Mirzaganj
Upazila have received government allowance totaling Tk 1.08 lakh for
four months.
Local
MP Shahjahan Mia Advocate distributed the money among widows and
abandoned women at the upazila auditorium on Thursday.
Chaired
by UNO Syed Sabbir Hossain, the function was attended, among others,
by DC Abdus Samad and Police Super Moinur Rahman Chowdhury.
