Pirojpur, Apr 21 (UNB) – A good number of
projects under the government’s Rural Infrastructure Development
Program are being implemented in the district at a cost Tk 2.64 crore.
Under the projects, 27 roads are either being
constructed or reconstructed under the supervision of Local Government
Engineering Department (LGED).
Five of the projects are being implemented in
Sadar, one in Nazirpur, four in Kowkhali, six in Bhandaria, five in
Nesarabad and six in Mothbaria upazilas, officials said.
The projects are likely to be completed by June
next.
LGED is also
constructing six roads in six upazilas of the district at a cost of Tk
45 lakh under Cyclone Rehabilitation Project. Donor agency OPEC is
funding the project.
