Pirojpur, Apr 21 (UNB)- As part of its efforts to
ensure food for the rural poor during off-season, the government has
allocated 537 mts of wheat for the district under Test Relief Program.
The wheat will be used for implementing 274 rural
infrastructure development projects in six upazilas of the district in
the current fiscal.
Of the projects, 31 will be implemented in
Bhandaria upazila, 25 in Kowkhali, 46 in Mothbaria, 57 in Nazirpur, 38
in Nesarabad and 38 in Sadar.
Besides, five development projects were
undertaken in Pirojpur and two in Mothbaria pourasava.
The works included road reconstruction, earth
filling in educational and religious institutions, construction of
drain and small bridges.
