Pirojpur,
Sept 5 (UNB) – Academic activities at Government Suhrawardy College
here are seriously being hampered simply for lack of teachers.
College
sources said the college is being run with inadequate teachers since
its nationalisation in 1980 as post of 26 teachers, out of 65, are
lying vacant.
They
said new departments were introduced in the college on various
occasions, but new teachers were not appointed accordingly.
One
post of professor, 13 of associate professor, four of assistant
professor and six of lecturer have long been lying vacant in the
college, the sources said.
