Police arrested a man with arms |

17, 2000 Rajbari,
May 16 (UNB) – Police arrested a man along with arms and ammunition from
Daulatdia ferry ghat on Sunday. Police
said they challenged Lutfar Rahman, 38, for his suspicious movement in the
ghat and recovered a revolver and three rounds of bullet from his
possession. They
said nine people were arrested and six revolvers and 22 rounds of bullet
recovered from the area in last two months. Another
report from Comilla adds: Police in their separate drives seized 2,770
bottles of phensidyl and arrested five people from different parts of the
district from May 9 to 12. The
arrested were identified as Nurul Amin, Giasuddin, Abdur Rahman, Mujibul
Huq and Yasin.
