Apr 10 (UNB) - A court
here convicted a man to life term imprisonment with fine Tk 5000 on
Wednesday for killing his father three years before.
According
to the case, Abdul Latif of Bujruk Noorpur village of Mithapukur thana,
stabbed his father Rafiqul Islam with a sharp knife after calling him
on the field to see the irrigation on May 9, 1997. He died later on.
After
examining the witnesses and record, the Additional District and
Sessions Judge delivered the judgment against Abdul Latif who, in
default to pay the fine, will have to suffer six months more rigorous
imprisonment
