(UNB) – Two people were wounded in a firing Sunday night trying to
prevent robbery at Bhalukachandpur village in Sadar thana of the
district.
Local
sources and police said Sadhan Kumar and Subodh Kumar were injured
when the dacoits opened fire being resisted by the villagers from
entering into the village.
The
injured were admitted to the district hospital.
A
case was filed in this connection with police.
Meanwhile,
Kaliganj thana police arrested a young man of Chandipur village in
Shyamnagar thana along with a country made pistol.
Masud
Rana was arrested as he suddenly entered Kaliganj thana at 10 pm on
Sunday (Apr 9). He was sent to court the following day (Monday).
