          Apr 12 (UNB)- As part of the countrywide drive to eliminate six killer
          diseases, about 12,500 children of the district will be given polio
          vaccine this year. 
           
          
           
          This
          was informed at a meeting held at the pourasva auditorium here on
          Tuesday. Poursava organised the meeting on the occasion of the seventh
          Immunisation Day. 
           
          
           
          Presided
          over by the chairman of the pourasava, the meeting was attended by the
          civil surgeon, health workers, NGO representatives, public
          representatives and local elite. 
           
          
           
          The
          meeting decided to set up 60 vaccination centres, appoint 250
          volunteers and organise massive publicity to make the programme a
          success.
